The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team scored their first win of the season by taking down Augustana on the road 21-4.
Benedictine scored the first five goals of the game and did not look back.
AJ Smerz netted three goals and Aiden Elliot two. Benedictine scored eight times in the second and take an insurmountable 13-3 into the half.
Smerz scored seven times and Elliot added five.
Luke Grant logged four goals and an assist.
Colin Doyle played the first half in net and recorded two saves while
Owen Johnson stopped nine in the second half. Benedictine tallied 54 shots and finished 27-of-29 on clears while collecting 45 groundballs and winning 17 faceoffs.
Jack Whalon won 11 facoeoffs and picked upi 10 groundballs.
Benedictine (1-3) will open conference play at home against Lake Forest on Wednesday night.
