The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team opened the conference portion of the schedule with an 11-5 loss to new member Lake Forest, the preseason favorite.
Lake Forest scored the first seven goals of the game before
Dylan Skura struck just before the half, putting home a feed from
Dylan Langley. Both teams scored four goal in the second half but Lake Forest led 11-2 before Benedictine talied the final three.
Benedictine tallied 46 shots in the loss. Skura scored two of the five goals for Benedictine.
Colin Doyle made eight saves in goal.
Benedictine (1-4, 0-1 NACC) heads to Kalamazoo on Saturday.
