The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team got off to a hot start but dropped an 18-4 decision at home to Aurora in the regular season finale on Wednesday night.

Luke Grant early in the contest to put Benedictine up 1-0 and
Dylan Langley scored unassisted nearly two minutes later to put Benedictine ahead 2-0. From that point onward Aurora controlled the game, scoring 11 consecutive goals. The visitors grabbed the lead for good with just over three minutes remaining in the opening quarter.
Benedictine finished with 24 shots and collected 21 groundballs. Grant scored two of the goals while
Moussa Diallo tallied a goal and an assist.
Owen Johnson made 12 saves in goal.
Jack Whalon won six faceoffs and scooped four groundballs.
Benedictine (6-11) will be the seventh seed in the NACC Tournament and play at Dubuque, the second seed, on Saturday night at 7pm.
