The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team won a third straight game, tallying a 13-7 conference victory at Beloit on Saturday afternoon.
Beloit scored the first goal of the game before
Aiden Elliott and Moussa DIallo scored less than a minute apart to give Benedictine the lead. Tied a 2-2, Benedictine unloaded four straight goals to open the second as part of a six-goal quarter to seize control, taking a 9-3 lead into the fourth. Following a scoreless third, Beloit drew within 9-6 before Benedictine notched three in a row to secure the win.
Benedictine logged 43 shots, finished 21-of-22 on clears and picked up 37 groundballs while winning 16 faceoffs.
Luke Grant scored four goals and added an assist. Elliott scored three times with an assist.
Jack Whalon, the NACC Player of the Week, was 15-for-18 in faceoffs and collected 15 groundballs.
Colin Doyle played three quarters and stopped 12 shots in goal.
Benedictine (4-8, 2-4 NACC) visits Carroll on Wednesday.
