Benedictine's women's tennis team was defeated by Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) leader Edgewood College, 8-1, at home on Tuesday. The loss dropped the Eagles to 8-6 overall and 7-4 in NAC matches.

The lone victory for Benedictine came at the No. 1 doubles slot, where the formidable tandem of senior Lisa Carrillo and Ewelina Stachulak pureed the Edgewood duo of Amber Hemp and Shae Beckwith in an 8-1 decision.

Carrillo and Stachulak improved to 10-4 overall in doubles, 9-2 in NAC play.

At the Nos. 5 and 6 singles positions, BU's Nicole Choinka and Lina Savickas each extended their matches to a third set before losing the Edgewood.
