AURORA, Ill. – The Benedictine University women's tennis team remained undefeated in Northern Athletics Conference action, giving Aurora University just their second loss in conference play by defeating the Spartans 7-2.
The Eagles (8-3, 8-0 NAC) swept doubles play with
Andrea Oliva and
Lina Savickas defeating Courtney Koehler and Megan Galbraith 8-0.
In singles play,
MaryClare Loughery was victorious at No. 1 singles, defeating her opponent in straight sets, 7-5, 6-0 while No. 3 singles
Ewelina Stachulak won 6-3, 6-0 over Elizabeth Pfaff. Oliva was also victorious at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 7-5 while Savickas pulled out a 6-2, 6-1 win over the Spartans at No. 6 singles.
Benedictine tennis is back in action on Thursday afternoon, hosting Concordia University-Wisconsin at 3:00 p.m. at the BenU Tennis Courts.
