LISLE, Ill. – The Eagles faltered for the second time this season against the Raiders of MSOE on Wednesday night. In the packed Rice Center, full of fans sporting red t-shirts for the night's “Red Out,” Benedictine just seemed unable to find their rhythm, falling 64-60 to Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Benedictine (13-6, 8-3) shot just 28 percent (7-25) from the field compared to MSOE's (13-5, 7-3) commendable 41.4 percent (12-29). The situation was even worse from beyond the arc as the Eagles posted a season-low 11 percent (1-9) in the first half. In contrast, the Raiders shot a blistering 57.1 percent from three. AJ Brown helped to stop the Eagle's bleeding as he shot a perfect 3-3 from down low. Benedictine went into the locker room at halftime trailing by 11, 29-18.
The second half showed a more inspired Eagles team as they became more confident in their shots. Senior
Cameron Snelling posted his tenth double-double on the season as he scored a team-high 17 points and pulled down ten rebounds.
Terry Licht came alive in the second half and finished the game with 16 points, three offensive rebounds, and two blocked shots.
The Eagles had a chance as they made a solid comeback and found themselves down by only three (57-60) with a minute and a half remaining. A missed three by

Dario Jokic allowed the Raiders to essential seal the game, winning 64-60. Jokic had a team-high three steals, while Green added a team-high three assists.
The Raiders were led by Bennett Deacon and Victor Bande who each scored 13 points. Oren Bloom led them on the boards with seven rebounds.
The Eagles look to get some well-deserved rest and to regroup as they do not play again until Tuesday, Feb. 1 at Concordia University-Chicago. The tip-off will be at 7:00 pm.
