double-double of the year with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
The Eagles (17-6, 12-3) jumped out to an early 16-6 lead when
Dario Jokic scored BenU's first eleven points of the game followed by a dunk from Snelling. The Spartans (14-10, 9-7) answered right back and cut their deficit to two with a layup from Ryan Crow.
Benedictine would regain their double-figure lead, going up by as many as 14 after a three-pointer from Licht, who was 4-for-7 from behind the arc. The Eagles would settle for an eight-point lead at halftime, 44-36.
It looked like smooth sailing for the Eagles to start the second half, going up by as many as 16 before Aurora would slowly climb back in and get within four points in the final minutes of the game. A steal and layup from Green would re-ignite the BenU offense and carry them to a 93-85 victory over AU.
As a team, Benedictine was 35-for-71 from the field (49.3 percent) compared to Aurora's 29-for-68 (42.6 percent). The Eagles were out-rebounded by the Spartans 52-40 and had 20 turnovers on 13 Spartan steals.
Aurora was led by Scott Laskowski who scored 24 points and had a game high 17 rebounds.
