THINK PINK! Men's Basketball Hosts Dominican

LISLE, Ill. – The men's basketball team is coming off of a strong win against Lakeland College on Saturday and hopes to beat Dominican University at the Dan and Ada Rice Center tonight at 7:00 p.m. The game can be viewed live by going to www.vidtechsportsvision.com

Dominican (7-14, 4-9) is currently last in the South Division despite being fourth in the league in shooting percentage at 45.5 percent. The Eagles, however, sit one place above the Stars in this category, shooting a hot 46 percent from the field.

Benedictine also shows its dominance in other areas of the game. Junior point guard Nate Green currently leads the NAC individually in assists having dished out 126 on the season; he averages 6.3 per game. Green is also the team's leading scorer at 16.8 points per game.

Senior forward Cameron Snelling is just as impressive as he is presently averaging a double-double at 13.9 points 10.3 rebounds per outing. He also leads the team in steals with 47 as he plays swarming defense and causes other teams to consistently turn the ball over. Helping Snelling on defense are seniors AJ Brown and Jerrell Tribble who rarely get beat on that end of the court.

Senior Terry Licht is the third player scoring in the double digits on average at 11.8 points per game. Licht is a tremendous spark off the bench who leads the team in blocked shots at 14. In the Eagles last outing against the Stars, Licht hit the half-court buzzer beater to win the game.

Senior Brian Genslinger has really come alive for the Eagles in the last few games. He is shooting a team-high 57.6 percent from the field. At Maranatha, Genslinger shot a perfect 5-5 from the field to add ten points off the bench. Shooting guard Dario Jokic played well in BenU's last game against Lakeland as he shot 50 percent from the field to add nine points of his own.

Benedictine is currently in first place in the South Division. They are half a game ahead of Milwaukee School of Engineering (15-6, 9-4). With a win tonight they can put a little more space between them and the Raiders.

The men tip-off at 7:00 p.m. and there will be a half-time recognition ceremony for the BenU Football team for their 2010 NAC Championship. WEAR PINK to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
