The Benedictine tennis team split a pair of matches on Saturday, losing to Lakeland in the morning and defeating Marian in the afternoon. BenU was the home team for both matches, which took place at the Vaughan Athletic Center in Aurora.
 
In the 7-2 win against Marian, the doubles parings of Vivianna Iway with Kam Haifleigh and Micah Goyao with Bhavana Movva were able to come out on top. Iway and Haifleigh won the first doubles match 8-5, while Goyao and Movva won match number two 8-3. In singles, Goyao, Movva, Iway, Haifleigh, and Anna MacLachlan all were victorious.
 
Earlier in the day, the Eagles lost to Lakeland 6-3. The doubles tandem of Movva and Goyao came away with an 8-3 win in the second match, which Iway and Haifleigh won the third and fourth singles matches.
