The Benedictine tennis team came away with one win and one loss against NACC opponents on Saturday, falling to Edgewood and defeating Rockford.
In the morning match, Benedictine fell to Edgewood 7-2, who has yet to lose a conference match this season. While Benedictine dropped each doubles match, the team was able to win two singles contests.
Kam Haifleigh and
Vivianna Iway each came away with victories in tough, three-set matches.
The Eagles were able to defeat Rockford in the afternoon 7-2. The team won two out of the three doubles contests, as Iway and Haifleigh won 8-0 in the first match, and
Bhavana Movva and Micah Goyao won 8-1 in the second match. In singles, Movva, Goyao, Haifleigh, Iway, and
Anna Savio were all victorious.
BenU takes the court again on Sunday when they travel to Alverno for a conference match. The Eagles are now 4-5 on the season.
