The Benedictine University men's basketball team won their fourth consecutive contest, rallying in the second half to score a key conference home win over the co-leader of the NACC, Wisconsin Lutheran, by a 76-73 score.
Wisconsin Lutheran led 6-0 and opened a double-digit edge at 18-8 midway through the first half, leading the entire opening frame. The lead grew to as large as 12 points before Benedictine used a 6-0 run to go into the half down 38-32.

Trevor Montiel with 8:30 to play, part of a 12-2 run and the team did not trail the rest of the way, sealing the win by knocking down 9-of-10 free throws in the second half.
Benedictine held a 40-30 edge on the glass. The team scored 34 points in the paint. Benedictine shot 55.6 percent in the second half and 44.8 percent for the game, knocking down five second half threes. Benedictine finished 18-of-20 from the line in the victory. Benedictine has won 11 straight at home against Wisconsin Lutheran.
Stokes paved the way with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
Tanner Resch finished with 19 to go with seven rebounds and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the stripe. Montiel totaled eight points and 10 rebounds with four blocks, helping shut down the Wisconsin Lutheran low post game.
Benedictine (10-7, 7-3 NACC) visits Marian on Wednesday night.
