Brittany (Wolski) Zust is one of the most prolific offensive players to take the field for Benedictine.
Zust capped her career as the holder of the top three single season marks for stolen bases and the all-time leader by a wide margin with 123, the only player with over 100 in program history. A three-time All-Region selection, Zust was a member of two teams that reached the NCAA Division III Championships and served as team captain for three years. Zust was a member of two of the most successful teams in program history and was a part of 137 wins during her four years. Zust still ranks second all-time in program history in batting average (.433) and hits (244). Twice, Zust posted hit totals that rank among the top five in program history.
Zust was also a three-time First Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference selection and currently ranks among the conference’s all-time leaders in several categories including second in hits and third in runs scored.
Zust’s involvement in athletics at Benedictine was not limited to the softball field. Zust also was a three-year president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Commitee while also serving as a worker in the communications department and earning a slot on the Dean’s List in six semesters.
Zust has continued to spread the lessons learned in softball by serving as the head coach at Hinsdale Central High School the last seven years.
