Women's Basketball, Softball

A softball star who was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region player in 1983. That same year, Laura also earned the title of NFCA All-American. She earned a spot on the 1983 NCAA All-American Team as a short stop.

Laura was a part of the 1982 and 1984 softball team, led by another member of the BenU Hall of Fame, Deb DiMatteo, that advanced to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

Upon graduation, Laura began teaching first grade at St. Matthews in Glendale HEights while she also coached volleyball at Glenbard West High School.

Currently, Laura teaches first grade at Arlene Welch Elementary. She is married to Michael Cavallaro and the couple have two children: Nicole (who attends Saint Louis University) and Robert (who attends Metea Valley High School).
