Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Plaehn ranks among the school's career leaders in batting average, accumulating 147 hits in three seasons to notch an average of .360, 14th all-time. Plaehn was one of the toughest hitters to strike out in program history, fanning just 29 times for an average of 14.1 at bats per strikeout, third best. He was twice named as an NCAA Division III All-Region player in 1985 and 1986.
