Dan Lietz was a key part of one of the most successful eras for the baseball team, who won over 100 games during his four years.
Lietz was a four-time all-conference choice from 1988-1991 and received all-region honors in 1989. The program made appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 1989 and 1991. The 1991 team set a single season record by winning 31 games. Lietz served as a captain of that team.
At the time of graduation, Lietz was the program’s all-time leader in home runs while ranking second in runs scored and sixth in RBIs.
